Creations That Best Mock Sarah Palin

October 28th, 2008 1 Comment »

Sarah Palin has caused so much hype that even though people love to hate her, some people love her not really because they think that she’s ready to become Vice-President but because they make good and honest money out of mocking her.

Seems that the elections are bringing the entrepreneur in a person and in this time of recession, everyone needs to earn money in any honest, possible way they can. People are losing their jobs, businesses are closing and more so, the back pays are long overdue.

Bit first, I know there will be no contention when I say that Tina Fey, the best comedienne in the planet right now, best mocks Palin.

We can thank Sarah Palin, in a weird and bone-chilling way for the new profit-making jobs that were put up. Because of her, there are new businesses springing out and here are a few:

1.  The Palin Pumpkin

Just in time for Halloween, right?  It would be a treat to see kids carrying them around lighting the way. But this will cost a lot, it’s for sale for $125.  I know people who’ll be dressing up as her at Halloween, but this can actually be scarier.

2.  The Palin Wig

Her subtle beehive-hair hairstyle has definitely attracted most women and it’s in big demand as Halloween costume.  Maybe the demand is not because of Palin  herself, but because Tina Fey rocked it since the first Saturday she impersonated her.

3.  The Palin Uneaten Toast

The toast had 24 bids  on Ebay that went up as high as $7,000.  Seriously, this is a bit over the top.  But then, anyone can declare on ebay that this something was almost worn by this almost famous person.
4.  The Palin action figures

We all know that these proliferated days after she was introduced in the Republican convention. But dont know if these dolls will be ideal for the little girls.  Not exactly your Malibu barbie. Herobuilders sells these dolls.

5.  Palinaspresident.com

This has garnered so much attention.  It features Palin apparently in the Oval office as the President and clicking any furniture makes a mockery out of her famous statements. Personally, I got scared when I clicked on the door, try it.

Palin seems not to mind these creations, or she just doesn’t know that these were made to mock her. Don’t know when will this surge in Palin products will stop or if they will ever stop.  Well, as long as they bring food to the table out of an honest day’s work, then let’s them be.  Let’s not condemn people for their political affiliations.  There’s a report that whatever happens on November 4, Palin is going to be groomed as the next President.  Well, may the greatest power help us if that happens.

Coolest Ways To Be Involved In Politics

October 6th, 2008 No Comments »

Politics is all over.  No matter how one tries to stay away from this aspect of life, it still exists and will affect the day to day system.  And so, one is left with little choice but to just adapt to the bickerings and the promises.

Involving one’s self in politics doesn’t mean one has to run for a position or debate all day long on who should win.  There are creative and cool ways to be in jive with the unescapable political world.  Take a look at the following ways and start to be involve now:

1.  Join a political poster design contest

A political poster design contest basically is for those who are endowed with the gift to draw beautifully.  The candidates have their own poster design contests online and it is a cool and definitely creative ways to be politically-inclined without being a dull speaker.  John McCain currently has a poster design contest open to voting while Barack Obama sells the political posters designed by his supporters as part of his campaign.

2.  Become a member of a political discussion board

As there tens of political forums in the web alone, those who have the gift of jab can never run out of avenues to be involved in the political issues.  Plus, one will never run out of anything to say as there is a new issue everyday.

3.  Pose for a political website

For those who want to be exposed, in a good way, try following Jessica Alba’s footsteps.  Gag yourself and pose for a website that advocates voting.  Her thought provoking poses for declareyourself.com really made news and it is definitely cool to be a model for a worthy cause.

4.  Vote

This is what EVERYONE can do. Voting this coming elections is the coolest thing one can do to be involved in politics.   It makes one’s voice heard sans the condemnation or the debate of why one chose that candidate.  The polling booth will serve as the vessel of one’s right to suffrage.

It is important to be involved in politics, even it is one of the most boring and dirty subjects.  Politics affects even mortgage, gas price and even health care.  Might be the best time to just be cool and yet make a difference.

Matt Damon gets political (and he gets it right)

We all know that celebrities are riding into the political scene (although it’s hard to discern who’s really into it or who’s just doing it for publicity). But it was a surprise when Mr. Bourne Ultimatum, Matt Damon, made this statement about the politician who seems to be running for president when in reality was plucked out for the Vice-Presidential post.

Damon, who made a LOL video with Sarah Silverman as a mock to her then boyfriend, talk show host Jimmy Kimmel, is not really new to the viral video world. His take on Sarah Palin is a refreshing breathe of fresh air to the pool of celebrities who make political statements while promoting their up and coming movies.

His statement was clear, concise and the metaphor he used hit home. Watch the video to see my point.

Biden is entirely out of the picture

September 9th, 2008 No Comments »

Ever since Sarah Palin was introduced as the Republican party’s VP, she has stolen the spotlight not only from the Barack Obama and Joe Biden, but also from her own running mate, John McCain, altogether.

She has totally outshone her direct competitor for the Vice-presidential post.  No news, either positive or negative has came out that is related to him.  But come to think of it, even Palin was not yet in the picture,  there has been minimal news about him.

It looks like the VP race is sealed.

Palin stole the show

The GOP convention was intended to officially nominate John McCain president. But all eyes were on his dark horse VP nominee, Alaska governor Sarah Palin. Anyone hardly paid attention if he was going to show up, everyone, including the media, were anticipating Palin’s speech.

So, when she showed up, people were up in their seats screaming and taking in every single word that she said. Won’t go to the details of her speech as you will be seeing that in the video, but she definitely stole the show from McCain. People were observing her plans, her views, not McCain’s.

The democrats made history as they had a woman who attempted to be their presidential nominee and an African-African to be the official forerunner for the most powerful position in the world. So John McCain made history by choosing a woman to be the VP nominee, a first in the Republican history.

And indeed, Palin shone and stole the show. Judge for yourself.

Palin knows how to market herself

Sarah Palin is all over the news.  The moment John McCain presented her as his running mate, people have dived for any news about her.  Considered as the dark horse, most political analysts seem to have understimated Palin as she is an unknown governor of a quiet state, Alaska.

She is tagged as a conservative who plays by the old-world rules. Even her family was already on the front page of every news outlet.  Outrageous rumors immediately flew in.  People thought she’s just from a small town with little executive experience.  I don’t know about Alaska being a little state or her executive experience, but I do know that her ways are not that old-world.  I wonder if she’ll be using this tactic again as she runs for the veep.

And it said frugally, well, at least, she shows she knows how to manage the finances.

The DNC did Obama a lot of good and the polls showed it

With a combination of the Clintons’ endorsement, and the 40,000 spectators, and the celebrity endorsements, Obama has managed edge up against McCain in the recent polls.

This clearly shows that the news about the Democratic convention has put Obama into the spotlight. Into the good light.  The Clintons had officially endorse him and every now and then they show snapshots of celebrities who are in the convention.  Not to mention his family made an appearance, nothing could attract good publicity but a grinning and happy family on stage.  The GOP better havean extravagant plan for their own convention.  Will have to see if the same effect will happen after the GOP convention.
